Zanesville, Ind., July 11. -- William Durbin, of Uniondale, was in Zanesville Saturday. Mr. Durbin is making arrangements to organize an orchestra in the U. B. Sabbath school.
Doff Keplinger and John Jacobs motored to Bluffton Saturday to transact business.
D. W. Keplinger and wife and Theo. Harsh and wife returned home Saturday from Crooked Lake, where they have been spending several days fishing.
Clark Walker transacted business at Uniondale Saturday.
Milo Reed and Walter Espich made a business trip to Fort Wayne today.
Charles Keplinger and Otto Scoot transacted business in Huntington Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wilcox and son Curtis, from Green, Kansas, are visiting with A. D. Hamilton and other friends in this neighborhood. Mr. Wilcox motored through from Kansas in a Ford.
Dee Weaver, who is employed in an automobile factor at Kenosha, Wis., after completing his vacation, returned Sunday.
Lloyd Wilcox and family motored to Markle, where they will spend a few days visiting friends. They will go from there to Ohio, to spend a few weeks before going back to Kansas.
A. D. Hamilton and wife and U. G. Smuts and wife spent Sunday in Markle visiting with Mrs. Gaskel.
David Platt made a business trip to Markle Saturday.
Rev. Johnson is improving from the burn caused by the premature explosion of a firecracker.
Mr. and Mrs. Ira Wickliffe, of Fort Wayne, visited over Sunday with Mrs. Wickliffe's father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Walker, east of town.
Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Thomas and family and Mr. and Mrs. Eliza Shults, of Morgantown, Ind., visited a few days this week with Lawrence Swalla.
Thos. Diffendorfer, who has employment in the electric light plant of Fort Wayne, visited over Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Diffendorfer.
Donald Merchant, of Fort Wayne, is visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Merchant.
Mr. and Mrs. Webb Simmers, of near Fort Wayne, were visiting Sunday in the home of Dr. and Mrs. J. L. McBride. Mrs. Simmers is a sister of Mrs. McBride.
H. O. Miller spend Sunday at Sheldon.

Elijah Carpenter, of Nine Mile, was in town Saturday evening transacting business.
Miss Gladys Keyser, Miss Lilith Shoup and Mr. Shell went to Fort Wayne Sunday to visit with Miss Shoup's mother, who is at the Lutheran hospital. Mrs. Shoup is rapidly recovering.
Word has been received by Mrs. J. A. Keplinger that her husband, who was operated on at Rochester, Wis., stood the operation well. The trouble as reported was a large ulcer on the bowels.
Mr. and Mrs. James Walker and Mrs. Odis Wolf spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Chancy, of near Roanoke.
D. J. Middaugh, wife and little son, of Marion, Ind., are visiting with Mr. Middaugh's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benton Middaugh, west of Zanesville. Mr. Middaugh and family will remain to help his father during harvest.
Mrs. A. H. Knight, who has been in very poor health, has improved sufficient to accompany her son, Von, to church in the auto Sunday morning.
