AUTO STRIKES BOY.
Bluffton, Ind., Jan. 19. -- When he stepped from a tea wagon in front of an automobile driven by Manson Reiff, grocer, Russell Shaneyfelt, residing in the south party of the city, was knocked down but was not injured Wednesday afternoon. The accident occurred in front of the Rev. T. J. Simons home on West Cherry street. The boy did not notice the auto approaching and did not have a chance for escape. Reiff was in no way to blame for the accident. He was driving slowly and the automobile was stopped soon enough to prevent running over the boy.
WILL SIGN CONTRACT.
Bluffton, Ind., Jan. 19. -- The contract for the removal of the H. C. Bay company piano factory from Chicago to Bluffton, will be signed here on Friday, is the optimistic view of the situation regarding the large new industrial plan for which negotiations have been under way for some time between Mr. H. C. Bay, president of the Bay company, and citizens of Bluffton.
DEATH AT OSSIAN.
Ossian, Ind., Jan 19. -- Grandma Henline, aged 80 years, died at the home of her son, Joseph H. Henline, here yesterday. Mrs. Henline had been confined to her bed for about four weeks, having been in poor health, however, for a much longer time with a complication of diseases caused by old age. The direct cause of her death was pneumonia.
