NewsBluffton, Ind., July 28. -- The marriage of Miss Lela
Miller, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Miller, of Uniondale, and Raymond Haiflich, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Haiflich, took place last evening at Uniondale, in a ceremony performed by the Rev. I. C. Birk, pastor of the Uniondale Lutheran church. The young couple will live on a farm.
Mrs. Emil
Stauffer was driving to Bluffton yesterday, accompanied by her 5-year-old son in an automobile, when she lost control of the machine near Petroleum. The machine mowed down four fence posts and both front wheels were demolished but Mrs. Stauffer and babe escaped without injury.
The county commissioners have petitioned the county council for an additional appropriation of $21,790 for six new bridges not included in their original petition.

Burgan, a son of Mrs. Edith
Burgan, of this city, is seriously ill at his home here, from complications, following an operation for tonsils. His temperature runs high and he is packed in ice part of the time. Previous to coming to his home here recently he had been in a hospital in another city suffering from quinsy.
Vaughn Haiflich son of Frank Haiflich, west of Bluffton, has accepted a position for next year as a teacher in the manual training department of the schools of Kenosha,
