Mrs. Senus (?) Anthony recently fell from the haymow of the barn onto some machinery and suffered severe bruises. No bones were broken, but her legs are badly swollen. She is unable to walk without aid.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Zion, of Fort Wayne, spent Sunday in the William Hurvan (Kurvan? Burvan?) home.
Mrs. Estell (sp?) Hoopingarner attended the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Rosa Phipps, at the C. F. Boyd home, in Markle, Monday.
Mrs. Tom Roudebush, of Markle, called in the George Roudebush home, recently.
Ora Miller was a Bluffton visitor, recently.
W. A. Haflich made a trip to Zanesville recently.
Henry Hoffacher and son, Harry, spent Friday and Saturday in Chicago, where they were called on account of the sudden illness and death of Miss Jessie Hoffacker.
Ruthel Woodward, who has been ill, is improved.
Herbert Middaugh and wife spent Tuesday in Fort Wayne.
