John Haiflich, Jr. who recently moved his family from
Huntington, has taken employment in the
Dee Hoopingarner restaurant.
Relatives near Uniondale, attended the funeral services of Jerry
Roe, which were held Sunday afternoon, at the home of the deceased.
Mrs. Eva McAfee is seriously ill, at her home, suffering from kidney trouble.
Mrs. J. M. Waid, who is at the Lutheran hospital, of
Fort Wayne, convalescing from a recent operation, is reported getting along nicely.
Mrs. Clara Cover returned Monday from Spokane, Wash., where she has been visiting relatives for a few weeks.
George
Haflich, of Oklohoma (sic), and his family, are spending a few weeks with relatives in and near this place. They came especially to attend the golden wedding anniversary of the former's parents.
Mr. and Mrs. John
Hamilton have moved from Poneto into the Robert Harvey house. Mr. Hamilton is employed at the Erie stone quarry, west of here.
Littla Clara Wasson, who has been sick the past week, is a little better.
Miss
Frieda Haflich spent Sunday in Warsaw.
Garth
Miller has just recovered from an attack of measles.
Relatives of this place have received word that Charles
Shoup, of near Zanesville, had the misfortune to get his arm broken. He was kicked by a horse.
Jonathan
Buckley has recently returned from
Michigan, where he purchased property.
Bernice
Griffin spent last week with her great aunt, Mrs. Della
Roe, of Markle.
The scarlet fever quarantine was lifted from the Israel
Pence home Monday.
Mrs. George
Farling is in a very serious condition at the Wells County hospital, at Bluffton. She is suffering from tubercular trouble.
On next Wednesday evening a reception will be given by the
Rockford and Uniondale M. E. churches at the latter place, in honor of their new pastor, the Rev Mr. Banner, and family. Refreshments will be served.
A Sunday school convention was held at the Pugney U. B. church Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Chalmer Kleinknight, of
Fort Wayne, spent Sunday in the home of Mrs. Kleinknight's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel
Elzey.
Mrs. Mary
Haflich, living northeast of town, is on the sick list.
Alvira, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Haflich, is sick.
Miss Thelma Shady has returned to the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Addy
Meeks, after spending a few weeks with her parents, near Bluffton.
The quarantine has been lifted from the Frank
Newhard home, where a son, Ray, had the smallpox.
