My gggrandfather's father was Alonzo Lockwood, who moved to Ohio in 1835 and married Eliza Stanley. They had four children and moved to Wells, Indiana - having three more children. Some of the children were James Edwin, John S., Margaret, Minvera and Angeline. Does anyone have any information on their present families and where they are buried and when they died. Would appreciate any information you can give me. Thanks

Ross is the son of Filander (Joseph P.) Lockwood and Hepsibaugh Annis Stevens and did marry a Hazel B. Goodspeed. He was the oldest of 10 children and was the brother of my grandfather, Ralph who did marry Grace Higgins. I would sure be willing to share information with you. Alonzo would have been their great grandfather.

I am related on the periphery to this line. Grace Gennette Lockwood is wife of a 1st cousin (a few times removed), Victor Vernon Mounsey.

So I am curious, are you saying that the Alonzo Lockwood in the Stahl Cemetery (b. Apr. 13, 1810 in Maine) is the father of Joseph Philander Lockwood b. 1868 ? If so, Alonzo was fathering still at 58 years old. Or is it another Alonzo Lockwood ?

I'm always interested in getting family history from those who more directly part of the family line.

We are doing the same family. Grace Genetta would have been my great-great aunt. I am the granddaughter of Ralph, her brother. Joseph was their father and and they had 10 children acording to my research and I have brief memories of most of them. James Edwin Lockwood was Joseph's father and Alonzo would have been Joseph's grandfather. I sure would be willing to share information with you. I have traced the Lockwood family back to 1555 in England but am starting over again to verify what has been done years ago.
