Dr. John L. Swarner Jr., 51

Dr. John L. Swarner Jr., 51, a physician at Valparaiso and son-in-law of Art May of Bluffton, died Saturday at Porter
Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso after collapsing while using a snow-blower at his Long Lake home.

The death was ruled as coronary artery disease and was heart-related.

He was engaged in private practice of medicine and was a member of the Porter Memorial Hospital staff since 1977.

In addition to the relative in Bluffton, he is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two sons, two daughters, two sisters, and a brother.

Services were held Tuesday in Valparaiso and burial was in Graceland Cemetery in that community.
