Belden Cemetery, Lagro Twp., Wabash County, Indiana
In 1872 Solomon and Nancy Fry sold and deeded one acre of their property to the public for the purpose of a public burial ground and cemetery and also for a German Baptist Church. This location was in Lagro Twp., east of the Town of Lagro and one and half miles west of the former Belden, per the 1875 Wabash County, Indiana plat map. This location would have been between the Wabash River to the south and the railroad to the north.
The Fry cousins are searching for any descendants of other persons whom may have been interred there. We have found Solomon and Nancy’s grave monument, but no other stones have been found at this time. A list of burials was compiled and wondered if anyone would have a photocopy and source for the list of burials. We would like to document and perhaps mark the final resting places of all of our relatives there.
If any of you have an ancestor who was buried there, and cannot find their grave or may have a list of burials for Belden cemetery please contact the Fry cousins.
Thank you
