Mrs. Margaret Nemyer (Wabash Plain Dealer undated)
Mrs. Margaret Nemyer, 86, of 270
Washington St., known as Aunt Maggie to many, died at 9:05 pm Saturday in the
Dunfee Nursing Home. She had been in failing health for several years and critically ill for six weeks.
A native of Bavaria, Germany, Mrs. Nemyer came to this country when she was 13 years old. She was born June 14, 1872, the daughter of
Valentine and Catherine (
Lahr)
Pitts. The decedent had lived in Wabash for 73 years.
She was married Oct. 13, 1894 to David cover who died in 1897. On Nov. 26, 1919 she married John O. Nemyer who preceded her in death July 22, 1930.
Mrs. Nemyer was a member of the
Pilgrim Holiness Church.
Survivors include one son,
Thurman Cover, Wabash; two step-children, Lorin Nemyer, Pontiac, Mi, and Mrs. Fred (Ruth)
Reno, Wabash; one sister, Mrs. lena
Ellis, Delphi; two grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. One step-daughter, one stepson, one brother and three sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday in the
Pilgrim Holiness Church with the Rev. Guy
Mowery officiating. Burial will be in the
Falls Cemetery.
The body will be taken to the church at 1 pm Tuesday. Friends may call at the Wire Funeral Home.
