I am looking for any information on George Noble Moyer and his decendants. I am also looking for a Moyer Cemetery Listing. Any help is appreciated.

George Noble Moyer, second son of Jesse and Eliza Moyer, was born December 8, 1860. He was the founder of the Laketon Nursery in 1880 and a member of the Indiana State Nursery Association. He married Rosa Thomas, who died in 1941. They were parents of three.

George Noble Moyer married second time to his wife's sister. They became the parents of four: John, who with his wife, Grace, took over the Laketon Nursery; Grace Moyer, married Carl Zimpleman, make their home in North Manchester; Walter Moyer, Laketon, deceased; Celia Moyer who has a home in Elkhart.

George N. Moyer
George N. MOYER, founder of the Laketon Nurseries at Laketon, died this morning at the home of a son there, after an illness of one week with pneumonia and complications. He was 91 years old.
Mr. Moyer founded the Laketon Nursery in 1880 and was the oldest active nurseryman in Indiana. He was a member of the Indiana State Nursery Association.
The deceased was born Dec. 8, 1860 in Wabash county in the Pleasant Hill community, the son of Jesse and Eliza (HOOVER) Moyer. He resided in the same neighborhood throughout his entire life.
The survivors are two sons: Robert Moyer of Gilead and John Moyer of Laketon; four daughters, Mrs. Charles SPEICHER, Evanston, Ill.; Mrs. Noel SCHAULL, Muncie; Mrs. Carl ZIMPLEMAN, North Manchester and Mrs. Walter PIERSON, Laketon. His wife passed away in 1941.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 Saturday afternoon at the Laketon E.U.B., where Mr. Moyer was a member. The Rev. Howard STEELE, Washington Center, will be the officiating minister, assisted by Rev. W. K. DICKINSON and Rev. MUMFORD, Laketon. Burial will be made in the Laketon cemetery.
The body is at the Moyer-Haupert Funeral Home in Akron and will be removed to the late residence of the deceased, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday.

Moyer Cemetery in Miami County, Perry Township. Sits just west of the Wabash/Miami County line and Wabash County Road 1000N. Have list of graves in cemetery. Let me know names interested in and will copy for you.
have following information on George N. Moyer born 12-8-1860 son of Jesse Moyer and Eliza Hoover, died 1952 buried old Laketon Cemetery. Married 2 times Elizabeth ? who died 4-15-1889 age 26-0-5 buried Old laketon Cem. Two children this marriage Robert Lincoln 3-29-1885 born in Indiana mrd 1-5-1909 Wabash County, In., to Trula F. Sanderson died 1965. Buried laketon Cemetery; and Jesse Michael 9-?-1886 in Indiana, mrd 9-29-1908 Wabash Co. to F.L. Miller.
2nd marriage to rosetta Lucas on 8-13-1890 Wabash County she born 8-?-1866 died 194l. There children were Mary Dorothy 7-?-1896 mrd 3-20-1919 Wabash County to Charles O. Speicher; Carrie martha 4-?-1898 mrd 8-23-1919 Wabash County to Noel A. Schull; Walter 9-?-1904 died 1950 buried new Laketon Cem; John w. 2-7-1908 born at laketon mrd 6-13-1931 Grant Co. to Grace K. Thompson Ind died 11-2-1994 Wabash Co. New laketon cem; Grace mrd 12-31-1930 Wabash County to Carl L. Zimpleman; and Cecelia.
A small booklet called the hoosier Editor of November 1933 printed by Frederick landis on page 32 had an advertisement for the Laketon Nurseries, at laketon, indiana Phone 722 Green it stated the following: Now is the time to plant your Trees, Shrubs, Vines, Hedge, Evergreens, etc. The ground is firm and settled and in early Spring your plantings will be ready to Grow and Thrive before drouth or hot weather comes.
Evergreens will add Beauty to your home when all else is brown and bare. We have a complete stock, Everything need to beautify your home, and we will landscape and plant it, if desired.

We are located five miles southwest of North Manchester and twelve miles north of Wabash.

An article undated appeared in the Paper of Wabash County as follows: This weeks photoes include the Laketon General Store and Laketon Nurseries. Laketon Nurseries, above was a prominent business attracting many from Northern Indiana to laketon. The business was started by George Moyer and later operated by John Moyer. Located north of the Eel River on the west side of 200W, the family owned business started in 1880 and was sold in 1972. Much of the ground is now owned and farmed by max and marvin Blocher. The nursery office building is now the home of Ernest and Pat Cripe. The other buildings belong to Rick Cripe Mobile Transport Co.
A history including pictures of the family was included in the 1976 History of Wabash County, indiana by Linda Robertson appearing on pages 435 and 436. This book is still available from the Wabash County historical museum or I could send you a copy.

I am the grandson of George N. Moyer,my name is Moyer Zimpelman, my mother was Grace Zimpelman,I am the youngest of five children.
George's children, Mrs. Charles(Mary) Speicher,Mrs. Noel(Carrie)Schaull,Mrs.Carl(Grace)Zimpelman, Mrs. Walter(Celia)Pierson,John Moyer his wife's name was Grace.I have somemore family informatiom packed up in a box some where I'll have to dig it out.
