I have original immigrant name Reinhart and Mary Austermiller from Hesse Cassel germany

and children are Ernst August, and Margaret (children of rienhart by first wife not mary) and Otto, william, Henry, frederick, amelia, philip, and louisa (latter five born in america)

I am a decendant of Otto who married first Hannah Slippy then Clayanna "Annie" Clatfelter.

August married a woman named Deania

I have lots of information on August's father and am working with Two other ladies to try to find his grandfather. I am decended from August's much younger Half-brother, Otto. Otto, like his brother worked for the railroad. I imagin August probably assisted in getting him the job just As August did with his sons.

My husband's mother was an Austermiller from Indianapolis,
Indiana. Her grandfather was Philip Austermiller and grandmother was Clara Austermiller. Her father was
Edward Francis Austermiller. Her name was Viola Pearl
Austermiller and she had a twin brother named Edward that was called Mike.
Viola married Emmett Green and he had lots of history on his family that we have but very little on the Austermillers. I have recently begun to really get involved
in tracing my family and Vic's (my husband). I was stumped
for a long time about the Austermillers but began to find bits and pieces but could not find the name of Philip's father. I kept finding informationon a lot ofamily that went to Ohio and lived there and then some on Austermillers in Indiana. I am happy to know about Rhinehart. If you have more information, we would love to know more to share with Vic's children and cousins.

I have much information about reinhardt austermiller. if philip was born about 1853 the reinhart is probably his father,as reinhart had a son of that name and age.

we may be able to take the family line back another generation soon. we are working across the border in germany, so record procurment will be slow.
