This is a wild shot but do you have a female Fleming married to a Stewart 1800-1822? My grandfathers names was James Philander Stewart, he named his first born son Fleming Stewart. I thought maybe this was James Mother's last name, can you help me? Thank you, Debbie

I am intrigued by your posting on Fleming's in Switzerland County. My grandmother, Mabel Corson Potter and my aunt Gertrude Galbreath Potter both insisted that we were somehow or other related to the movie star Rhonda Fleming. In all my years of family research, I have never come across a Fleming in any of my lines. Do you have any ties to the above surnames?? I am aware that there were a good many Flemings in Ripley County who came from Pennsylvania.
