Sorry I didn't answer. I was getting a ton of emails at that time and just missed it. I've heard of Catherine Purcell and Noah Purcell, but I don't know of any connection to my Thomas Purcell and wife Elenor Sullivan who came from present day Allegany County, Maryland to Kentucky in 1780. I feel sure they took that same route as it would have been the closest route to Allegany County. What a harrowing experience that must have been with the Indian attacks that were always going on. My Purcells wound up settling in Bullitt County on land that was obtained and surveyed by his brother-in-law, Daniel Sullivan. Daniel ever the adventurer went on the area around Vincennes where he was later killed by Indians.
