I'm searching for any information about these families. They lived near Dugger in Cass Township from the mid 1800's to early 1900's.

The following names are included in this family:

Joshua Brickey--He may have been a doctor/farmer. He was
father to George, John, Sarah and Josephine.

Josephine Brickey Butler- b.1850 d.1940
George Washington Butler- b.1842 d.1910

Robert Butler-- George W.'s father. Also fathered: Robert,
Matilda, Sarah, Melissa, Myrna, Alvinia,
James, and Martha.

Elizabeth Butler-b.1818 (OH) d.1906 (Sullivan CO.)
(Robert's wife and George and Elizabeth Kelley's daughter.)


George Kelley- b. 1781 (VA) d.1867 (Sullivan CO.)
Elizabeth Kelley- b.1785 (KY) d.1873 (Sullivan CO.)

Many of these individuals are buried in Samaria Cemetary. I have not had any success locating the burial plot of Robert Butler. Josephine is in Dugger Cemetary.

My great grandfather was James A. McCammon. On June 14, 1855 he married a Sara Brickey who was born in California about 1838. Their children were: Alex, James A., Jr., Elizabeth, Laura, Bluford, Olive & Murphy. Are any of these names familiar to you??

No, sorry, those names don't sound familiar, but I have literally nothing on the Brickey's except for Josephine Brickey Butler's obit which lists her father's name as Joshua. Joshua's wife's name might have been Sarah or Elizabeth.

Would it be possible for you to send me a copy of the obit of Josephine Bricky Butler. She is the great-great grandmother of my children.
