C (my wife’s great grandfather in same unit) disability discharge, 1870 in Lincoln, St. Joseph, IN with wife Mary (33), daughters Mary (11), Alice (8), Nellie (5) and son William (2), applies for disability 1877, in 1880 in Loup, Marrick, NE, a widow with Ada (20), Alice (18), Nellie (15), William (12), Effie (9), Clarie (6) and John (4). Is Milton related to Louis Burk (1828-1916) who was in St. Joseph County, IN at the same time???

Not related and connot answer your question. However you can find Milton M Burke (as spelled) in the 1850 census for Indiana, Starke county, Orange towmship, page 1. Good luck. Don

The only record I found for a Louis Burk was an 1878 divorce from a Christina Burk.
