K.M.Smith,born 2-15-1897 Clear Lake Twp. Steuben Co. In. son of Ira & Gonza Bailey Smith, married Mary Braman,died 6-15-1998, no children.

Surnames: Smith
Do you know if this Ira was a son of Joseph F. and Catharine Smith? Other Sibings were twin brothers Ashland and Ashley Smith and a sister...I will have to check her name.

That is okay they were still cousins to me. Just wondering if anyone else out there was related to them or had any additional information

Are we related?? Or do you work at the library in Fremont where my cousin Geralee Baker used to spend so many hours until her death this year.
I am related to almost everyone in the Teeters Cemetery including the grave digger himself. As well as to the line of Liningers, Dotts and Rish from Steuben Co as well

Conn L.Smith
Conn L. Smith, Able lawyer, fine scholar and true gentleman, born October 17, 1902, Steuben County, son of Ira L. Smith. His mother, Gonza Raseley was born in Dekalb County , August 10th, 1875 He was reared in Clear Lake Township,Steuben Co. Indiana, there he attended the district one room schools, graduated from Fremont High School and Tri State College. Angola In.Conn Smith married Dorothy Ramsey who had a son, Stanley, adoped by Conn Smith.
While Mr Smith's father attends the meetings of the Latter Day Saints,and his mother is a Baptist,he is a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Angola.

The following children were born to Ira and Gonza (Rasley) Smith.

K.M. Smith, born February 15th, 1897, Clear Lake Twp. Steuben County, In.He enlisted for service in World War II, is a member of the Knights of Pythias, and Independant Order of Odd Fellows.K.M. Smith married Mary Braman of Reading, Michigan, they have no children, reside at La Grange In.Mr. Smith is employed by The Standard Oil Company.

Opal L. Smith, born Steuben County In. July 20, 1896, married Glen L. Falka,who was born in Steuben Co. Febuary 15, 1898, a farmer in Steuben Co. In.
