I am hoping to get some court documents on a murder trial that took place in Jan/Feb 1914 in Knox, IN. Samuel Leslie Steffey was accused (and found not guilty) of murder. My problem is knowing who to turn to that would help find the information I'm wanting. Can this be done at a courthouse? I'm not anywhere near there, but is there someone willing to check the courthouse for me? (I'm willing to pay a small fee). Or are the files that old kept elsewhere?? Or on microfilm somewhere?? LOL
