ANY info on parentage of Samuel Schulenburg b.5 Aug 1860 at Farmers Retreat,Ripley Co. Indiana, d.4 June 1902, buried at St. John's (Lutheran?) in Farmers Retreat. I have unconfirmed info that Sam's parent's were Henry and Elizabeth Schoolenburg. It is assumed that Henry or his father anglosized Schulenburg to Schoolenburg in the 1840's or 1850's. Was Henry really Heinrich Schulenburg? Was Henry/Heinrich really Sam's father? Where and when did these people come from (Germany)??! Is Henry/Heinrich also buried at Farmer's Retreat?--as School--or Schulenburgg? HELP!

I know this post is 10 years old, but I'm researching the Schulenburg, Ellerman and Aufderheide families that went to church at St. John's Lutheran Church in Farmers Retreat, Dearborn Co., Indiana and lived in Ripley Co.
