Christine. Not related, just trying to help. This was a hard one. In the 1860 census for
Ripley county,
Adams township, page 64, the family is listed as Dalkenberg, and is headed by Frederick, 38, a merchant, born in Saxony (Germany), and included Rosa, 31, born in
Baden (Germany), and Anistina, 2, born in Ind. In 1870 the family is in
Ripley county,
Laughery township, page 31, and is headed by Fred
Falkenberg, 50, merchant,
Prussia, and included Rose, 40, keeping house,
Baden, and the following children all born in Ind, Christine, 12, - Mary, 9, - John C, 7, and Ellen, 1. In the 1880 census the family is still in
Laughery township, Dist 158, page 18, and is headed by Fred
Falkenberg, 60, merchant, Saxony, and included his wife Rosa, keeping house,
Baden, - his daughter Enistina J, 23, Ind, - his son John C
Fremont (2 middle names), 17, Ind, - his daughter Mary M, 19, Ind, and his daughter Alla, 11, Ind. Hope this helps. Don
