Hi Cathy,
Yes, I have this Jacob Mills -b: 1792/93 OH - with a wife Mary but we have the wife as a Mary Smith. I think this Jacob Mills was married at least twice and the marriage in 1846 in Randolph Co., IN was probably the 2nd marriage.

Some Mills researchers, including myself, think this Jacob Mills is a brother to Morgan Mills - b: 1794 OH - who married Rebecca Jane Driver in 1812 and who came to Randolph Co., IN with the Driver / Sample family in 1821, and settled in Sampletown. (Tucker's 1882 :History of Randolph Co., IN".

I am in the process of researching several Mills families who left Ohio in 1826 and settled in Wayne twp., Henry Co, IN, who I feel were closely related to the Mills's and Driver's who went to Randolph Co., IN in 8121.
In 1830 Henry Co., IN - I find a Jacob Mills aged 30-40 with a wife 20-30 - who seems to have 10 children alreadyin 1830.
Then there is a Jacob Mills in 1840 Wayne Twp, Henry Co., IN who is 40-50 with wife 40-50 - who only have 1-male 15-20, 1-male 20-30; 1-female-10-15 and 1-female 15-20 living in household. These Jacob's seem to be the same Jacob Mills's
but 10 children (1830) before age 40 seems a bit many unless they married rather young.
Anyway- it is thought by some that it is the Jacob Mills from
Henry Co., IN that is also the Jacob Mills with wife Mary on the 1850 Randolph Co., IN census, with children Morgan and Joseph N..
I hope I have not confused you with all my "maybe's" but at this time, I believe that most Randolph Co., Mills researchers
think this, but have not proved this Jacob Mills line.
I will sure keep you in mind if I ever come up with new info on this Jacob. If you have any more to add to the info you posted for Jacob, I would sure love to hear it. For one thing - are you positive on wife Mary of 1846 being Mary Mendenhall??
