My husband is a descendent of Sherman and John Jefry. Sherman had a son from his first wife, Elzora. Charles E. Jeffry was my husband's grandfather. Just wandering if you have found any further information. We were in Greencastle recently and could only find a George Jeffris listed as a land owner in 1832. He owned 2 parcels, but could find no other trace of John at an early age. Didnt get a chance to look into probate or court records to see if he was orphaned. We were able to get a copy of John and Surrilda's marriage record. Thanks for any info.
