Buff and Nancy, source is book H-2, page 99. Joseph
Moore listed his age as 30 and his parents as John and Rhoebe (Phoebe?), source is book H-1, page 178. Nancy gave 2 different names, in book C9, page 517 she is listed as Nancy J
Elder, but in the supplemental info in book H-1, page 179 she is listed as Nancy J
Davis and listed her age as 31 and her parents as Aaran and Lowise (Aaron and Louise?). Now, I think she is the Nancy
Davis who married Benjamin
Elder in
Posey county on 30 Aug 1872, source is book C-6, page 501, unfortunately at that time supplemental info was not collected unless one of the parties was underage and required parental consent. I also think Charles is her son by that marriage, Charles is living with Nancy and Benjamin in the 1880 census for
Posey county. Hope I am right, my gut says I am. Don
