Looking for information on the following:

Johann Hinrich Marquardt (born 1824) and his wife Anna Margaretha Offt with a couple children emigrated from Hanerau, Germany to Valapraiso, IN before settling in Crawford County, Iowa around 1862.

I always suspected Johann to have family in Porter County and have just learned the name of Johann's father. Claus Hinrich Marquardt is said to have also emigrated to the US in 1859. Could there also be siblings?

Would like to hear from anyone who knows of a Claus Hinrich Marquardt born before 1805? This could be the link we're looking for in the Marquardt line!
