Robert McKay of Shelby County, Indiana, patented 240 acres in Perry County on 1 July 1857. This land was the NE1/4 Section 23 Twp. 4S Range 2W and the N1/2NW1/4 Section 24 Twp. 4S and Range 2W.

Has anyone come across deeds involving the sale of this land? Or, since he probably died not long after that, across records that would indicate sale by heirs.

According to the record books at the Perry County Courthouse, Robert McKay patented this land on Oct 23 1854 and it was sold to a Wm P. James for $150.00 on Mar 14 1857.
