AGED KINGMAN MAN, RETIRED CONDUCTOR, DIES
Kingman—(CNS)—Following a stroke suffered Monday, William Brice Woody, 81, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Maris Hospital in Williamsport. He formerly made his home in Indianapolis moving to Kingman six months ago.
He was a retired conductor on the P&E division of the Big Four Railway, and for many years taught school in Harveysburg, Kingman and Yeddo.
Born in Parke County on July 22, 1861, he was the son of Levi and Keziah Marks Woody. In 1895 (??paper frayed) he was married to Carrie Mae Wilpse of Momence who survives, residing in Buffalo, NY.
Surviving are: Two daughters, Gladys M. Woody of Indianapolis and Mrs. A.R. Boulden of Buffalo, NY and two brothers, M. T. of Kingman and Oliver P. of Clinton.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at G.W. Spencer Funeral Home with burial in Kingman Fraternal cemetery.
