Sally,
Glad to hear from someone related to the Joshua, Benjamin, and James Lang of Parke County. There may not be any family connection to Solomon Simmons, perhaps just neighbors, business associates, friends, or acquaintances. The three Lang gentleman and Solomon Simmons were members of the short-lived Democrat Club of Parke County, founding in 1864. I have and continue to do extensive research on Parke County during the Civil War ear and have been trying to learn more about the 58 original members of this political club.
Can you tell me anything about Benjamin, James, and Joshua Lang? How were they related? Brothers? Where did their family originate before coming to Parke County? When did they move to Parke County? What did the them of them end up doing after the Civil War ended in 1865? Did they move away from Parke County? Do you know their birth years and death years? Do you know the names (and maiden surnames) of their spouses? Anything you know about their children and the spouses of their children (especially if their children were married in Parke County)?
I would be grateful to any information you could share on these 3 Lang individuals.
Tim
