Surnames: Henley, Henly, Burris, Burus, Burns, Downie, PItcher, Reynolds
I am researching Harriet Caroline Burns who married Franklin W. Henley in Morgan County IN on 20 April 1845. The index spelled her name Burus but on her daughter Sarah Jane Henley Downie's death certificate, her mother's maiden name was Harriett Burris. And on Harriet's obituary, her maiden name was given as Burns. But in the same obit, her children spelled their names as both Henly and Henley. Would anyone know who are the parents of this couple who married in Morgan County in 1845?

The couple left Indiana after 1850, lived in Missouri until 1860, and then were in the Jefferson County Kansas census for 1865. Franklin Henley died in 1877 and Harriet in 1913. Their children's names were Sarah Jane (b. 1846, married Robert Downie), Nancy A. (b. 1848), Harriett Caroline (b. 1850, married Miles Pitcher), Franklin W. (b. 1852),James T. (b. 1854), David B. (b. 1856), Stephen Moore (b. 1858), Oliver (b. 1853, d. 1919), Elizabeth Medora (b. 1861, married 1st ? Downie, 2nd James Reynolds), Ionia/Katie (b. 1868, married T. J. Morgan)
Thanks
Kate
