MRS. OTTO SHAFER

Mrs. Nettie Anna Shafer, 73, wife of Otto Shafer, died at 12:10p.m., Tuesday at her home, 614 W. Second, after a six days' illness. She had been a resident of Peru 70 years.
She was born in Oglaze county, Ohio, Feb. 23, 1880, the daughter of Wilson and Elizabeth (Corkwell) Freeman. She was married in 1897 to Otto Shafer, who survives.
Surviving also are two sons, Floyd, of Winter, Wis., and Chester, Peru; one daughter, Mrs. Esther Mae Shultz, Anderson; ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandcildren. One brother and one sister are deceased.
Mrs. Shafer was a member of the Center Chapel Church.
The body was removed to the Drake-Flowers funeral home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
