Just found my uncle Gideon born 1832 (bro of my GGgranddaddy William Gad Copeland of NC) in Marion County. He moved there abt 1854 from Chatham Co NC. I thought he had died! He brought a wife Margaret (born 1834) from NC,had 3 children (Andrew, Emily, and William Gad), died before 1870. His wife Margaret remarried in 1870 to a Louis Thomas from Germany, born abt 1840. Anyone have any info on this family? I found Gideon's son William Gad Copeland in Indy in 1920; can't make out his wife's name.
