I am a relative of the above two people. George Alva was called Pete by his family and his mother was called Berta. Pete's father passed away when he was a baby. In February of 1939 they were living in Gary, Indiana. I do know that Pete was married and divorced to someone while they lived in Indiana. I do know that they moved to Indiana sometime after the 1930 census was taken. Both Pete and Berta were born in Alabama, and they both passed away in Midfield, Alabama, which is a suburb of Birmingham Alabama. Any information that I can receive on these people would be appreciated, and I will share any information that I have on their family.
