I wanted to thank Burt Fuller efforts to help The Bolley and Doerrer family I seen this post in Ashland county Ohio historical society.

Bolley, Jacob Frederick - died December 12, 1950 - Former County Resident Dies in Daughter's Home. Jacob F. Bolley, 83, resident of this county until about 10 years ago, were conducted this afternoon at the Fogelsong Funeral Home in Sturgis. Burial was made in Brighton cemetery. Mr. Bolley was born in Ashland, Ohio 3 September 1867, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Doerer) Bolley. He was united in marriage with Stella McCally in Plato 8 June 1890. Surviving are 3 sons, Floyd of Elkhart, Harold of Lansing, and John Jacob of Marshall; 2 daughters, Mrs. Floyd Miller near Bronson where Mr. Bolley died, and Mrs. Chester Simmons of Coldwater; 2 brothers, William Bolley of LaGrange and Albert Bolley of Wolcottville; and 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Most of Mr. Bolley's life was spent in this county as a farmer. He retired and moved to Sturgis with his wife, who died 19 January 1947. Lucas - Mrs Leona Culler, 78, of Lucas RD 1, died yesterday afternoon in People's Hospital where she had been a patient for 3 weeks. She was born in Ashland County and had been a resident of the Lucas area the past 56 years. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; a son, Edwin of Lucas RD 1; & 3 grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church at Lucas with the Rev. Jay Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at the Byerly Funeral Home in Lucas anytime after Sunday, noon.Information researched by Richard Paul Culler of Carrollton, Ohio.

Howard L. Doerrer

Howard L. Doerrer, 79 of 749 McElroy Rd. died January 1, 2001 at home following a brief illness. Mr. Doerrer was born March 23, 1921 in Mansfield being a life long resident. He retired from Pennsylvania Railroad as an Engineer and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II. Mr. Doerrer was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, VFW post #3949, American Legion #26 and the Naval Reserve.

Surviving are one brother, Neal H. Doerrer of Mansfield; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Avis A. Gladden of Mansfield; and Vivian and Martin Culler of Ashland; and four nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph U. and Artie Doerrer; and one brother, Ralph E. Doerrer.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services held at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held on Thursday January 4, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society, Northern Ohio Chapter, 20525 Center Ridge Rd. Suite 630, Cleveland, Ohio 44116.
