Does anyone know when James Miller was born. He died Feb. 2,1886 in Marathon, Iowa.Some sources state he was born about 1818 or 1829.If the James Miller was born in 1829, then I believe he was married to Samantha Selby and moved from LaGrange Indiana and also served from Indiana in the Civil War.The following information seems to match:

I believe one of his daughters married Julius Cady in Iowa about 1880.The 1880 Iowa Census indicates his children are living in Clay and Buena Vista County Iowa. I believe he was married a 2nd time but was divorced.I think his 2nd wife was Marcia and she was living in LaGrange Indiana in 1870 & 1880 Census.
