I am searching for the family of Ann Gill (b 1811, d Mar 1887) of Croydon, Surrey, England. Ann married Thomas Toms (b.abt 1811, d Mar 1893) also of Croydon. The Toms family had the following children: Maria, b 1840; Hannan, b 1843; Emma, b. 1853; James, b 1855; Sarah, d. 1885 at age 43; & my ggf,Thomas Toms b 1847. Thomas appears on the 1851 & 1861 census in Croydon. He married Mary Barbara Schultheis of Germany after they met in the Dakota Territory in the USA around 1880. I've not found him on any census in the USA. I have recently obtained birth certificates of the Toms/Gill children & verfied their mother's maiden name was Gill.
