Looking for information on the TROUSDAIL FAMILY in Jefferson Co., IN during the years between 1813 and 1840.
My gr gr grandfather was John F. TROUSDAIL b: 1814 in Kentucky, according to 1850 Indiana census records. I am looking for the PARENTS of my John TROUSDAIL who married Elizabeth GREEN - 03-OCT-1839 in Jennings Co., IN.
I have found a Thomas TROUSDAIL living in Madison Twp. Jefferson Co. in 1826, but no luck yet finding names of his children.
Another question I have is - was Jefferson County, Indiana
at one time a part of Kentucky and is it possible my ancestors never physically moved to Indiana but that Indiana came to them when it was created as a state? My history is rusty in this reqard.
