I just today found information on my Great, Great Grandfather, Joseph Knepper. I do not know who his father was? (I think now it is also Joseph Knepper and Mary)

Just got information that he was born in 1843 in Piqua County, Ohio in 1843 and he was married to Minerva and they had four children. Not sure how many siblings he had they listed 8 that attended the funeral????

He was a member of the 17th Ind. Cavalry during the Civil War and was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic of this city. (you have it listed as the 7th) I am not sure if the information I found is correct or not? Haven’t had time to investigate yet.

Let me know if this could be the son of the persons you are looking for.

Hi, Just came across your reply to my post. My e-mail address changed so I was not notified... Anyway. Joseph and Mary are the parents of Joseph ( 1 of 12 children), who married Minerva. He fought in the Civil War along with his brother Emanual, who never made it back home. Emanual is buried in the Memphis National Cemeterywhere he died. Joseph Married Minerva Mcleod, sister to 2 brothers he served with in Indiana 7th Cavalry....I have a book called the Indiana 7th Cavalry by Coogley. I has lots of good info!

Hi, nice to find another relative. How can I get a copy of this book and what is the name? I am still trying to locate my Grandmother. She married Kenneth Knepper, brother to Everett, Leslie, Mary, Clifford and Zelda. Her maiden name was Etta Schuetz and I have had no luck locating her. She was born in 1910 in Illinois and they must have been married in approx. 1927. They had two sons, Kenneth Knepper and my father William Knepper.
Thanks for the reply, any information would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to e-mail me directly if you like at badbaker@sisna.com
