I recently visited the Wheatfield Cemetery to check on relatives John B. Mills b 1828 d 1920 and Celia Ann Nation Mills b 1836 d 1912. They were living in Jasper County, Tefft, I believe, to be near their son Seth Otto Mills. Celia Ann died unexpectedly and was buried in the Wheatfield Cemetery. At some point John and Seth Otto moved back to Grant County. When John died, he was buried at Wheatfield Cemetery beside Celia Ann. The story goes they had no relatives there after Seth Otto left. When at the cemetery, July 24,1999 there were silk flowers and a wooden cross (the wood was not weathered yet) between their stones. Is there a relative or someone who has looked after their graves all these years? If so, I would like to hear from them.
