I have a commencement program for the above class. It was in my great aunt's belongings, and my father was going to throw it out!!! I "rescued" it, but, although it is wonderful, doesn't pertain to our family (it was my great uncle's by marriage graduation). Names mentioned: J. E. Payne, county superintendent; R. R. Cross, township trustee; C. G. Shortridge, principal. Teachers are J. H. Tatlock, J. L. Sprague, David Weekly, Oscar Scott, R. Roy Denny, J. B. Cross. The invocation and benediction were given by Rev. Smith (the exercises were held at the M. E. Church in Freetown with music by the Freetown Cornet Band). Graduates were Roxena Carmichael, Howard Cross, Carrie Callahan, Lawrence C. Davis, Lucy M. Cross, Wm. Edward Hauck, Lillie L. Lutes, Frank W. McKain, Carrie May Mitchell, Charles D. Lampert, Ida H. Denny, Harvey Hashman, Gay Harbaugh, Clyne W. Forgey, Clora Harris and George D. McLean.
I would be willing to send this to a historical society or??? but would like all those interested in it to be able to see it. Any suggestions?
Sincerely,
Carol Jakl
