In the 1860 census of Huntington County, Indiana, there is a Davis family living in Dallas twp. They are Nancy age 44, James age 21, William S. age 18, George W. age 15 and Mary D. age 11. I am wondering what happened to William S. Davis. I believe he enlisted in company E, 137th Indiana Infantry and was mustered out in 1864. That is the last clue I have of him. I can't find the family in 1850 or 1870. Does anyone know anything about this family?
