I believe the Mrs. Bare who fell into a well and your Mrs. Bare and the same person. She did not die then. An article in a newspaper a few days later states she is regaining strength. However, she would have been around 65 - not 75.

If she was Lydia M. Thrift Bare, she was born 29 Aug 1839, Guilford Co., NC and died 22 Jan, 1917. She was married to Isaac A. Bare and she is buried in the Monument City, IN cemetery. I have her obit.
