Ben. F. Biliter, son of William M. and Arcadia Biliter, was born in Jefferson Township, this county, March 18, 1856. He was raised on the farm and received a common school education. Taught school five winters. He entered the County Auditor’s office, March 15, 1880, as assistant, and was appointed deputy, July 10, 1883, and was the Chief Deputy until the first of July, 1885, when he purchased a half interest in The Democrat from Col. I. B. McDonald, and is at present the business manager of that concern. March 25, 1883, he was united in marriage to Miss Lizzie Cummings, the only daughter of Luther and Maria Cummings, of Huntington.
