Attempting to find info on Alonzo Davis, b. 1861 in IN--no info on parentage. Wife Effie Breedlove, b. Sep 1864 in IN. They m. 28 Apr 1887 in Harrison Co. Their only child was Otho Davis, b. 17 Nov 1887, Hancock.
Family story has Alonzo leaving Effie sometime after Otho's birth and headed to Montana. Effie & Otho were were living w/her brother William in Blue River, marriage status as divorced, in the 1900 census. One part of the story has Alonzo totally deserting Effie, another part has him writing her letters.
We track Effie's family to present, some past, but nothing more is heard of or learned about Alonzo. Any info on Alonzo would be appreciated. Thanks.
