John Staley, a former resident of Sheridan, died at his home in Springfield, IL, Monday night. He was about eighty years of age and had been suffering for about 3 months from a paralytic stroke. However, he had not been bed fast all of this time.
The deceased is survived by the widow, three sisters and one brother all of this county. They are L. A. Staley, Mrs. W. S. McMurtry and Mrs. O. Robbins, all of Sheridan and Mrs. A.J. Fox of Arcadia.
He also leaves three sons, Ray, Raleigh and Ned and a daughter Mrs. John Leas.
The remains were interred at Springfield.
