Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock for John M. BRIDGES, 90 years old, at the First Methodist Church, with the Rev. L. D. ROBERTSON officiating. Burial was made in Grandview Cemetery. The Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. BRIDGES died at the home of his son, Everett, on BLOOMFIELD rural route, at 9:30 o’clock Sunday night. He had been critically ill for a few days.

He was born in Daviess County near Burns City, December 11, 1859, the son of Henry B. and Mary A. (BOWMAN) BRIDGES. He was a member of the BLOOMFIELD Methodist Church. His wife, Leah, preceded him to death, December 1, 1949.

Surviving are two sons, Levi BRIDGES, of Dugger, and Everett BRIDGES, of Bloomfield; a daughter, Mrs. Edith MOORE, of Burbank, California; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
