John Hargrove was the State Senator for Dubois County in 1838-39-40.
I do not remember seeing him on the 1840 census for Dubois.
It is my understanding that at that time, a Senator need not live in the county that he represented.
I don't have access to the census records at this time.
Would a kind person search the census please, and see where he did live in 1840?
