I'm trying to possibly locate more info on an (unknown)
McDaniel whom was born in Delaware County,Indiana.
The (male)child was born on February 4,1896,but on the
Birth Record that is on file at the courthouse in Muncie,Indiana,all that is given is the date of birth,gender-male,and the name of the parents.
The parents of this child were James Floyd McDaniel &
Louisa (Murphy) McDaniel. This child was their 6th child,as listed on birth record. The 5 other children of this McDaniel
family were born in Henry County,Indiana,including my grandfather,Matthew Turner McDaniel,born in 1889.
The child in questian,is a brother to Matthew McDaniel.
I've done quite a bit of research on trying to find more info on this (unknown)McDaniel.
This child is not on the WPA Indiana Death Records,no matches found on these records according to birth info or any
McDaniel's that would fit the age of this child in later years.
This child is also not listed on City Directories/Muncie,with this family.
This child isn't found on census records for this family either.
I've also been to the gravesites of my Gr. Grandparents,James & Louisa McDaniel and to the gravesites of my Grandparents,Matthew & Maude McDaniel,and this child is not buried at their gravesites.
With this info,I'm guessing that the child in questian possibly lived. I just have to figure out how to find a name to go along with the Birthdate-February 4,1896 in Delaware County,Indiana.
This child is also listed on the Delaware County/GenWeb site.
Therefore,if there are any McDaniel families that might have had ancestors born on this date from Delaware County,Indiana,please contact me. There possibly could be a
family connection.
I'd really like to be able to put a name to the brother of my Grandfather and the last child of my Gr. Grandparents.
At the present time,I have no idea what happened to this child
or what his name might have been !!
I'm at a total loss !!
