Mrs. Catherine Moore died at her home in Auburn, September 21, 1885, at 4:30 P. M., at the age of 56 years, 11 months and 10 days. Catherine Murphy was born November 11, 1828, and was married to Hugh Gossage in 1855. To this union were born three children, two of whom survive her. She was married again to James Moore, August 12,1874. She was buried in the cemetery at Auburn, September 22. (Re: Auburn Courier - Sept 24, 1885)
