Jesse Lynch Holman came to Aurora, Indiana with his wife, Elizabeth Masterson Holman in 1810 and built Veraestau.They had 9 children 6 of whom survived: Emerine Holman Hamilton,Eliza Ann Holman Foulk, Lucy Holman Curtis, William Steele Holman, Mary Ann Holman Vail Stratton,and Lt.
