Have just received info on James Pierson from someone - no name and no return address. Would like to thank this person, but do not know who to thank.

James Pierson
Born: 13 Oct. 1757 - Salisbury, NC
Service: Enlisted from Wilkes Co., NC 1776 or 1777 in Capt. Benjamin
Cleveland's Company. Was stationed at Carter's Fort as guard. Served 3 months. Enlisted later for 3 months in Capt. Jesse Franklin's Company in NC Troops. Moved to Crab Orchard, KY where he resided for 26 years before moving to Crawford Co. Received $20 per annum starting 29 Oct 1833.

James Pierson applied for pension (Revolutionary War) abot 1831 while living in Crawford Co. IN. He is buried at Alton, Crawford Co.

Have a copy of application, but am unable to make out most of what it says. Would appreciate any information that someone might have on James Pierson & family.

I have reason to believe that he is the father of Abigail Pierson b:1800 in KY (my g-g-grandmother).

Thank you for any assistance or suggestions.
