John L. Smith migrated from Otsego Co. NY, about 1819, to Leavenworth. He married Melinda Lyon, 23 June 1822. She was from VT. John died 31 July 1838. By 1840, maybe earlier, his brother Isaac D. Smith and wife Sophrona were in Crawford Co. He later moved on to Minnesota. John and Isaac are brothers to my gggrandmother Sophia Smith Clark. I would like to learn more about John and Isaac, and to contact any of their descendants.
