I came across this news clipping and thought it might be useful to someone doing Clay Co. geneaology. It is about a young man, aged 14, who drowned in the Eel River near the old Feeder Dam Bridge in 1923. He was the adopted son of Mr. & Mrs. Criss Willen. I hope this may be the missing piece of a puzzle for someone looking for an adopted relative, or someone connected to either his biological or adoptive parents.
